Lights, Camera, Action!
The staff at Harmony have been on a roll in providing new opportunities for community engagement for our wonderful individuals. We rented out the Venue Cinemas Theater this past month and got to enjoy sharing popcorn and laughs with each other. We had a blast going to the movies and look forward to more trips to the cinema in the future.
Delegates, Deliveries, and Delicious Dishes
The smell of cupcakes is a familiar bouquet within the halls of Harmony Day Support. A few ladies tried their hand at creating confections with the support of the wonderful Ms. Reva. She continuously provides opportunities to learn important life skills with delicious rewards.
Harmony was visited by Virginia Delegate Tim Griffin to discuss key steps in the future of legislation and the importance of civic duty for all.
What summer outing is complete without a trip to Meals on Wheels? Individuals piled on the buses and assisted the local nonprofit, Meals on Wheels, to hand-deliver meals to those in need. This partnership has been ongoing for the better portion of two years. The individuals love being able to serve others and bring joy to the lives of people who need it most. Working with this non-profit never fails to put a smile on their faces and strengthen the social skills for all who participate.
